Re: (2FAST4U831)
1500 miles....damn thats kinda high the brake in for lsd is like 800. i dont think you have to wait 1500 miles on it. And yes those could do damage to your car, but you have a stage2 not no 6 puck heavy duty perssure plate....so you should be just fine https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

sorry to thread jack but is it common for a stage 2 clutch to be jerky in first gear????
|
Re: (Hatchtrap)
so whats the recommended break in period
|
Re: (b18c5-EM1)
for a new car its usually 1000-1500 miles i think. for a new engine...id probably do the same maybe less.
|
new clutch i usally wait 500-600 miles. for a new engine i dont do the 1500 i do a strong break in change the oil, more strong pulls, change oil etc about 5 times then put in good oil and im done with the break in.
|
I would say about 1000 miles. I wouldnt want it to glaze on you.

yes bcuz it engages quite strongly. and break in is 500 |
Re: (JinDIESEL)
When I put in my CenterForce Dual Friction I waited about 600 miles before using it hard. It has held up great .... going on a year and a half now.
|
500 is what I've always heard.

talk about engaging hard, I practically have to granny shift with my CM Stg4 clutch

Either they will break in properly or they wont. If the rings do not break in properly it will smoke. If it is broke in properly it will not smoke and the motor will last for a long time. |
