I bought a motor of member spoonsportsjunkie, well when he called he told them the motor(92 dx motor, just blokkc and head no alt, dist, tranny, axles, shiftlinkage, ecu,anything) was 160 pounds on a covered pallet and such, so they told him 135 or so dollars, minus 50 bucks because its now going to a business isntead of a residence. I just got a clal today telling me how much i would owe when it gets here(COD) they said 434.xx i said WHAAAAA?!?!?! she told me the item weighed 600 pounds, spoonsportsjunkie went through his mechancs shop and they sent it after he crated it up, what the hell did they send me thats 600 pounds? i told her that was impossible, she said we will weigh it when it sets here to jacksonville and then i can call you and tell you the weight and describe the yitem for you, so shes going to do that.
How much should a d15b7 block and head weigh, drained and all.

All I know it is much heavier than 160lbs. When I dropped of my old CX motor when I did the swap we placed it on a strudy table, the table itself imploded. Sorry, I don't know the exact weight, but if you have a manual it will give the LBS.

Is the block assembled, pistoners and the whole nine or is it just the bloc? I'm going with the guy up top, it'll defenitly weight more then 160. I doubt it would be no 600lbs though, probably more like 300lbs.

just the d15 complete block and head together, with IM but almost all sensors are gone no altenator, no tranny, no starter, no header, noaxels, no shiftlinkage, all is drained and such.

Was that with tranny and such, this doenst have any stuff on it.

haha thats what i was thinkin, because he got it shipped through his mechanics shop, so maybe they mixed up what they werre shipping and they shipped me a built b16 or something that they meant to ship to a customer haha

haha i hae NO idea haha, i used to be on this local forum for around where i live and a friend of mine had that as he avitar, and i had nothin on my comp that was the right size for a avatar so i stole heres, that forum got shut down anyways, i have seen one other person on here with a similar avitar.

dont worry about it too much.
must be a mistake.
I can lift a tranny myself... so, 70 pounds at most..
and a block will be double that.

at most you are looking at 200 pounds... so I wouldnt worry too much, they must have messed up the weight description somewhere.

I work on a receiving dock and Old Dominion around here aren't the smartest group of truckers, so there is just probably just a mix-up on paperwork.

There is no way a block ways that much. I have a complete b16 short block laying around my garage for a while and I could easily drag it around the garage and lift it up a little when I needed to, and I am not strong at all.

I just bought a D15B engine and the Bill of Lading said it was only 250 lbs - either they are tryin to overcharge you or they are sending you 2 engines !!

I consider myself a strong guy and my buddy and I could barely carry the pallate with the engine AND transmission attached 20 feet off his pickup tailgate...so it is definitely heavy - but not 600 LBS..
