dude... nobody sells a freaking gasket/flange that goes in between the exhaust manifold and the downpipe. see picture: it's circled and labeled "B" anybody know where i can find a flat gasket? all they sell are O-rings.

just bolt it up there tight!! they have that stuff where you can make your own gasket (it is like a kind of paper), but i don't think that would work on the exhaust. I have only ever used it for little stuff like water pumps, and nothing with extreme heat. maybe try a bunch of layers of aluminum foil???

you could use a thin piece or two of metal and cut it to fit.

just use some RTV gasket sealent stuff! A couple of years ago I had a chikara header for my d-series and after a year I had to pull the header apart to paint it and the gasket fell apart, so i used gray RTV gasket stuff and it held up good! A friend of mine uses it to get a better seal between the head and the header flange on his motor! So it will hold up to the heat!! And don't use the gasket paper material that you can buy at a automotive store and cut your own gasket out of, the heat burns it and it falls apart!!!

you dont need a gasket period. just make sure the surfaces are flat, my Turbo to manifold and down pipe to exhaust have NO gaskets and it doesnt leak at ALL, i was skeptical at first too untill i tried it now ill never go back!

go to advanced auto and get gasket material. it comes in a pack with like 5 different types of material. then cut out your own

EDIT: i use that stuff were the turbo meets the downpipe and it hasnt fell apart and i have taken the dp off a few times.

goto any muffler shop. they should have them laying around. if they dont carry any then just go to a auto parts store and get the high temp gasket material and make your own.

Skip the liquid stuff. Get the sheets of material and just cut it to the shape you need. Its a high temp material with a metal sandwiched inside it.... works fine and you can make more if it has issues down the road.

I bought an OBX Header (big mistake), the gasket blew within a day. I bought a Greddy gasket and it worked fine.

The liquid gasket maker is definalty not gonna work. Just throw it on without it. You really don't even need a gasket.

get the sheets of material for the gasket....my dad used the cut out ones on his 427 cobra hehe...so im sure they will work just fine

You people can say that your **** doesn't leak all you want, but I bet you it does. Most exhaust leaks are very hard to find, and some are very hard to hear.

Any type of liquid gasket maker is a joke to use on an exhaust system. Stupid idea.

As stated before by the only person who had a smart suggestion, got to the store and get a sheet of exhaust gasket material. Cut your own gasket.

sure it will work without it, but the best way is to have a gasket.

i had a cracked header and DIDNT even know it....i found it with a garden hose....hold one end where u think the leak is and hold the other to ur ear...very simple.....VERY easy to find a leak this way......the length of my garden hose was about 3 feet.

you wasted your time calling around. just go to a local muffler shop and they should a huge variety. if not, go with everyone else's suggestion about the DIY gasket material.

you will get a leak if you do not use a gasket.

either go to a muffler shop or get some gasket material, the high heat metal looking stuff
