Default I just bought a eg9

I just bought a 95 civic ex 5sp with d16z6. Its green with brown interior! eww.... Anyways I buffed it and it looks mad cean now. I am trying to think what motor would be the best bet for this grocery getter. I was thinking b16 with type r internals. What do you guys think I should do...I wanna go N/A by the way. And I want to rev high thats what I enjoy doing lol.... Much appreciated

B16's are fun.. and are getting cheaper and cheaper to buy and mod..

D's can be fun as well but as i'm sure you know are costly to build N/A.

a stock b18c1 would be fun too... just bolt on a few goodies and enjoy a nearly stock engine with some more power than a b16

I had a ep3 with the k20a3 which I was told was close to a b16 in simialrity. Now if I put a b16 in the 4 door will I be happy. I was also thinking b16 with ctr internals...

i you going to replace the internals get forge interals. with new bearing.. head gasket.. arp studs.. then you can put a monster cam in it and maybe later on some ITBs.. don;t waste money putting used parts in a motor..

EG9's came with a b16. you have a EH9, unless you have an lx or dx then you have an EG8. I would go with the b16

A swap that was stock in a different trim of your car sure does make the actual swap alot easier. Not to mention you have no problems with handling or anything of the sort. My ED6 with a B16 was a very good decision.

Bang for buck D-Series turbo. Just don't expect to get anything from it when you sell it.

either a b16 with ctrs and itr inner valve springs on the intake side. Put the stock inners on the exhaust side. Ctr cams Pretty dang good power! Or get a gsr and do the stuff I said on the head and you got a cheap but very effective build!

I just put on jdm amber corners from egay for 6 bucks. Looks good. Waiting for my energy shifter bushings. I want to lower this thing. I had tein basics on my old eg 4 door. I may get something different this time. I am going to paint the body moldings black this weekend.

That's what I'm about to do. Probably go with a 14b setup on stock block. Seems to be the thing to do to beat stock b16a's and keep the d-series. Best bang for the buck in my opinion.
