idk weather the wires are run in the original harnes that is in the firewall of if there si empty pins once you hook the z6 harness up to the car one but as long as the wires are there for the vtec spool, oil pressure ...etc...and knock sensor you should be set there is many write ups on here about the b7/z6 minime and wireing if you need to run it read some on thoese and you will get how to put a vtec motor in a non vtec car there great wealth of knowledge bauleycivic did a good write up on this minime including wiring....https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=554053

Ok this motor was given to by a friend and i had it sitting in my garage for ahwile.
Well i didnt think to drain it like a dumb *** so i pulled the oil pan off to change gasket and the oil is pretty gumy and **** is there any way i can clean it all out with out pulling it all apart? I was thinking bout taking the valve cover off and pouring something and just letting it drain but i dont know what to use or if it is even a good idea. help?

All Honda Del Sol models were pre-wired for VTEC from the firewall. All you need is the Engine/Harness/ECU. You should be fine.

Very good thing to do. Usually when I get my hands on an old engine I usually check and replace the timing belt, oil pump, and water pump, to be safe.
