Default i have no idea what the heck is wrong here.

ok... everytime i revv my **** to 6000 RPM. and it only happens at 6000 for some reason. i get this cracking noise (like when you touch the postive and negative terminals on the battery together) and if i hold it there, it would sound like a metal saw. from time to time i would get cel 21... why? my vtec wiring is good. i don't get any more cels but my car still making that noise. should i worry? or jus wait for another check engine light?

I had head shielding come loose on my exhaust under the engine and it sounded like a metal saw. The cracking noise, I have no clue.

Your getting a CEL 21 which is Vtec Spool Solenoid Vavle. There is a short somewhere if your hearing a cracking noise.

For an example: My buddy had the same problem, power loss when Vtec hit and cracking noise. Well in his problem he was running an external coi and metal was touching the wires on his coil.

I would check if someing is shorted or grounded out 1st.

Did u just do a motor swap? If u didn't have vtec before the swap? Are the pinouts all correct in the wiring harness?

everything is correct... i'm not getting that cel anymore but i'm still getting that noise. weird... my vtec engages earlier than 6000RPM but it only happens around there. it's random. and yes, just did a swap.
