I have a dilemma..........(suspension)
here's the issue....This summer I am changing my suspension because i want to track the car. I want a full coilover system so that I can corner balance the car.
So I was looking at suspension setups and I found the TEIN Flex full coilover kit...It also came with the option of adding the TEIN EDFC kit (which enables you to adjust the dampening force of the shocks from the inside of the car) for an extra $400...the cheapest price for the flex kit that I found was 1300 shipped
So because of the price I decided i would only get the flex kit without the EDFC unit....
But then somebody from Honda-tech told me that he had a "mint" set of TEIN superstreet coilovers with this EDFC kit for sale at the best offer made because he was going to install it come this weekend or next but he got his car stolen last week...I figure he'll let it go for about 600 with shipping
So now i dont know whether I should go with a brand new tein flex kit or with a used but still mint superstreet kit with EDFC
here are some specs from both kits to help you guys help me lol...keep in mind that this will be for a track/street car:
TEIN Super Street Kit:
- comes with In car dampening control
- full coilover kit
- 16 levels of damping force adjustment
- Available for overhaul
- Spring Rate (kgf-mm/lbs-in) 8/448 4/224
- Ride Height Drop (in.) -2.1 -1.9
- Min Ride Height Adjustment Range (in.) -3.3 -2.8
- Max Ride Height Adjustment Range (in.) -1.2 0.2
- Upper Mount Type OEM
TEIN Flex Kit:
- 16 way manual damping force adjustment *****
- Pillow ball upper mounts are included.
- Short Stroke design for improved comfort and performance
- Aluminum spring seats and locks for trouble-free adjustment
- Teflon coated shell case for increased durability
- Full-length adjustment system for separate ride height and spring pre-load adjustment.
- Powder coated lower bracket for long lasting finish
- Spring Rate (kgf-mm/lbs-in) 9/504 5/280
- Ride Height Drop (in.) -1 -1.4
- Min Ride Height Adjustment Range (in.) -2.7 -2.7
- Max Ride Height Adjustment Range (in.) 0.7 -0.1
- Upper Mount Type Pillow Ball Pillow Ball
help me out guys
thanks!

I know from experience that there's a reason the SS is much cheaper: it's 100% no better than most midrange shock/spring combos you can put together for $500.
I also know from experience that Koni Yellows and custom-rate springs from Eibach or Ground Control (also Eibach, methinks) will outperform anything Tien makes for under $4000.
If you are serious enough about racing to want to corner-weight your car, do yourself a favor and get off the suspension fanboi bandwagon and do some serious research and number-crunching to figure out what will work best. Tien is not something I would want on a dedicated track car. Period.

I bought Function/Form Type 2 Coilovers and my brother bought A'PEXi N1 EXv Coilovers and my $700 coilovers feel exactly the same as his $1300 coilovers and both have the top mount dampening adjustment. Just from that, I would never buy a ridiculously expensive set of coilovers when they all perform basically the same. Good luck.
Btw I drive a 93 Civic and he drives a 98 Civic.
