Default I have a 95 civic 4 door now. What swap would be the easiest? I want to put an H22 in

How hard would it be to put an h22 in my 95 civic ex four door? And would it be cheap?

Heard you can pick h22s up real cheap but they are hard to put in.
Or should I just do a gsr?

And do you think I can make some decent power with an all motor single cam build .. im not asking for no low 13's .. like maybe high 14's.. like a sleeper kind of.. 14s arent fast but nobody expects a 95 ex four door to do them with a single cam that looks stock as anything.. What are your suggestions? Please help me out. I really want to do a single cam kind of. ALL MOTOR no turbo. MAYBE SPRAYING?

h22 would def. be faster stock for stock againts a gsr ive herd h22 are hard to get running right wants swapped but thats just here say IDK for a fact i put a gsr in my 95 coupe and it was basically just dropping it in and getting the right harness for it. (simple) and faster then most DD civics in my area

The B18C1 will be easier to swap in than an H22A, but the H22A swap isn't all the much harder to do. With an H22A swap, you'll be cutting holes in the inside of the car for the shifter assembly and the shifter cables, cutting off or trimming the passenger side engine mount bracket, extending some electrical wires and adding a couple more. So it's a little more work to do, but it's also a bit more horsepower and torque.

As for cost, the B18C1 will likely be cheaper. With the H22A swap, you need to buy aftermarket mounts, buy or build custom axles, buy the shifter assembly, and buy stiffer springs & shocks (or coilovers).

IMO, the H22A swap is well worth the price and extra work involved.

from easiest to hardest in my opinion:

D-series
B16/B18b
B18c5
B18c1
H23/F22 SOHC/F23
H22/F22 DOHC
K series

Any of the B series can swap in like OEM, using all OEM parts, and can be made to run and look like they were meant to be there without any welding, fabbing, or buying custom parts. Which is why they are so popular.

The F/H/K not so much. They get increasingly difficult, although I've heard that an H22 swap is not nearly as bad as I once thought. Apparently H2b is slightly easier, and you get a better transmission and shifter setup out of the deal.

have you heard of h2b? its an h22 motor with a b series tranny.. best of both worlds and its as easy as swapping in a gsr motor.
