i have a 93dx and want to put a d16z6 in it....
my question is this....will the stock dx 5-speed tranny work with this engine and what about the ecu? and help would b much appreciated

Yes, the d15 tranny will bolt up to the z6.
No , the p06 (I believe) ecu will not work, you will need the p28 ecu.
If you decide you want a ex/si(z6) tranny, I have one for sale....

thanks a lot, cuz ive been looking at various jdm motor distributors and can only find the engine themselves and was left wondering if my stock tranny was compatible, but one question i still have is....will the ex/si tranny be better than my own?

Otherwise the gearing is different yes, better? That would have to be up to you.. Research the gear ratios and decide what would work best for your needs.
