i got water in the engine plz help

ok guys heres what happen it was raining and went through a puddle that flooded my car i mean we're talking inch of water in the interior on my carpet any way my cold air intake sucked up water and my car died I pulled the head and there was water in it along with the oil at this point i am pretty sure that there is water in the pistons a well. I was thinking that i might have to ripp apert the engine and hand clean all the parts(dont wanna do that) my other thought is to buy cheap oil and run about 12-15 qts and hopefully drain out all the water then change my oil every 500 miles for a couple months . cmon fellas I have run out of ideas if there is anyone with even the slightest suggestion I would really appriciate it thanks

EDIT: BTW, this is for my cousins car. D16Z6 non turbo. TIA

Jon

your engine is now a paperweight.
you need to rebuild it.

that happend to mine and i changed the oil , spark plugs. and the car started still acting weird. so just let it run for the longest time eventuly the water will evap. its just water not sand . try that

in the least you'll prolly have to take it apart dry it out, get some new rings, new valves. That's if your lucky, you may have more to replace. Be sure to dry out the t-body and intake mani

first thing first. assuming u didnt run the car after this happened. other wise youd have bent or broken rods. so start by changing the oil. then pull the spark plugs. and crank the engine over to spit out all the water. make sure you disable your ignition too. so u dont cook your coil or anything else. then drop a bit of oil in each cylinder, and reinstall the plugs. try runnin it for a few mins. then change the oil again. if it acts funny after that. then youll be getting into disassembly.

good luck.

yup ive had that happend to someone you'll proboblly need a new engine or a rebuild and next time you'll know take your cold air off when its raining

If you can do a compression test, most likely you are down on compression from bent valves. Water doesn't combust nearly as easily a gas. Goodluck man!

by the looks of your sig, you've got a d16y8... those things are cheap as is, so a replacement longblock is only around $300.

otherwise, a rebuild is in need https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

It's a D16, it was always a paperweight. Throw the engine out and get something better. This just gives you a good excuse.
