Maybe not a couple years ago, but your car is probably going to get totalled now.
That's about $3-4k in damages.

looks like you are investing in a new hatch... rear quarter panels are,"not worth it to replace" so say the insurance company... Good Luck
Sorry that dumb ladies have to drive SUV's, take up two lanes and not obey traffic laws...
She's paying for it right??

door =$150-200
side panel =$300-500
work = $900-1200
paint job=$500-1000
definatly over $1500 at best

1400 in total the exact same thing happened to my car. I got the quarter panel for 300 the work cost me about 800 and I got a door and paint.I have a pic of my car and it looks identical to what happened to yours.

I went through a salvage yard and found a peice that Looked good and same with the door and I loaded it up on a truck (if you dont have a truck or trailer most places deliver) and took em home.see if you can get both for 350 (no door glass no door trim just the door and no rear glass).And when you take the parts to get fixed offer to take apart the interrior to cut down on the price.good luck.

Re: (92SiHatchie)
no offense but unless you have connections in the industry, your car is gone as far as insurance is concerned. i can dig up the hour rate breakdown of such a fix if you want; i had the same thing happen to me but w/ more extensive door damage.

Re: (SkyeC)
well actually i do have connections on where to get it fixed for a good price but im just scared the insurance will try and screw me over and say its totalled if i can get it fixed for a decent price.yeah man can you please gimme an estimate.does anyone know some good places to buy the body parts at in so cali?

Why don't you let the insurance company take care of it? Who cares how much it costs. Just as long as everything is done at a good place you'd be fine. I don't know why you would go and get parts from a junkyard and all that. I'm sure they will give you all new body parts and stuff. It wasn't your fault, and the insurance is paying for it (hers) so why go out of your way to try to get it done cheaply? i don't understand...
