well i got a 99 ek wit 99 single cam vtec swap and its acting really funny like when i start it idles really good and then 5 sec later it drops to zero and it starts to act like its going to die out and then it just gives itself a kick and it goes back to idling fine and this happenes like 3 times. well my check engine light is on but its from the o2 sensor idk if thats the reason but i was told that it wouldnt do that. i am running the correct computer but i was wondering would it be better to go to obd1 and use a p28.......... any advice is great so let me know

Yea, the 02 sensor can cause the car to do that, that is if its the main one. Its not getting a correct reading and it sounds as if its leaning out the motor, causing the idle to die off.

yea well today i was at autozone where i work and i checked my cel again and it says now that my systems to lean (bank one) and i have a fuel trim malfunction..... i'm missing the second o2 sensor....
