Default i got a d15z1 for 1k is it worth it?

the vehicle is a 94 civic HB w/ a d15z1 vtec-e i'm not sure what exactly it is or is capable of
but it has real nice 16" rims, new tires, ground kits all the way around, adj. coil overs, short shifter and runs pretty well...and for a thousand bucs i figured the body is worth that to me
good paint and interior too!!

what i'm asking is can i put a dohc zc head on it or anything like that or should i just dump the engine and save for a b18c1? the thing is it will take me a while to get the money for that so i'm trying to zig in the meantime!! tips welcome... and would it be an ex?

thanks

the car with the engine in it th vx motor in the car running is worth a 1000 but . the motor alone for 1000 hell no.
put 1000 more to that and u can get sumthin almost 100 hp faster. b18c1 or u can get a ls motor for 1000. i took out my d15z1 its a vx engine .. tranny long gears sucks . LOW COMPRESSION . pistons are doomed..
only good thing is its vtec but ITS VTEC E good on gas.. thats all its madd for. im sellin my vx head whole engine for like 300 if that.. not worth 1000

word of advice, dump the engine. if it had any less horsepower, you'd be moving backwards

take the car bash the gay ground lights, those "coilovers" are prolly not coilovers so I would throw those away after I save for a new suspesion. 16' for a civic is little too much especailly on d series (sell those and get some factory HX, or other 14's or 15's, save some money). Then buy a vtec head of d16z6 and slap that bitch on. Get some bigger brakes for sure of some EX/SI EG. It would be a nice combo.

BTW for $1000 I would be all over the car.
