i would not reccommend any products from JSRC....if anything is wrong with the kit you recieve even if pay to ship it back to jackson it will not get replaced without you being charged...someone on here had a bearing go out in one and they had it for 4 months and then sent it back stating the manager would not give approval to fix it....(jackson does not actually service the superchargers ,another co does but i cant remember the name)...he ended up taking it off because the repais would be so much money....he also bought it used as your are pondering....just a thought

moss is jackson.
I`d get the charger. What else will add that kind of power to 1000 bucks?

I would save my money a little longer and get a turbo kit. you can find a slightly used kit for a little more than that. jmho

For $1000 i'd go for it but one MAJOR caveat, that is a VERY low price for a JRSC that has "only been used for 3 months" If it sound too good....you know how it goes.
Inspect it THOROUGHLY. look at the rotors, inspect the manifold for cracks, look at the condition of the pulleys, etc. If its good then buy it, it's a great deal
Another MAJOR caveat. At 8 PSI you are going to have to be very carefull with tuning and fuel management. expect to pay another 500-600 for that.
I am rebuilding my dear departed hatch (with a JRSC) in a few weeks. If you wan't to check out my setup you are quite welcome. I'm in DC but i do all my work at my rents place in McLean.
