I finally got my car!! 2000 Civic DX Hatch
Well the day I have been waiting for since a year ago has finally arrived. I got my Hatchback. Here is the pic:
I'm so happy, now I got to sort out all the ownership and insurance details and I'll have it on the road.
Just as a note for arguments about certain features of this model Civic (Hatchback):
*The Canadian models come with the daytime running lights
*The Canadian DX comes with the tachometer (something i asked about a while ago)

I know and I totally agree, but I think that there are holes drilled for it. I want to stop by the dealership to see if it can come off without looking bad. I am hoping that I can get plugs or something to fill the holes.
Anybody know how its attached?

Do you guys mean trade the hatch door with some one with the same model/colour?
That seems like a pretty good idea. It might be hard to find some one though, but i can always ask.
Thanks for the idea.

Way to go man... If this is your first project car let me tell you that the road to fast glory is long and at times bumpy... But you can ask any one of the thousands of people on this board and they'll all tell you it's incredibly fun and worth every penny/hour you spend! People that say material (cars) can't make a person happy are kinda silly because if you're like me you've got a smile on your face every time you set behind the wheel! Keep us all updated on the progress of you and your car.

Re: I finally got my car!! 2000 Civic DX Hatch (joe_bocc)
there are a crap load of ek hatches up in canada!
i went up there last month and counted about 35 different ones in a half hour, when it takes 3 months to count 35 in the US.
oh yeah, the car is real nice. i dont think the midwing looks that bad...

Sorry but I don't have a digital camera just yet, maybe I can borrow one. The owners manual says the daytime running lights are the high beams, just dimmer. At night they don't light nothing up but you can see them on during the day.
For the car I payed $9700 CAD. It has 63,000 km and in immaculate condition.

isn't that the se model, not dx? the se comes with a tach, the midwing, and the 14" alloys.

What are your plans for it?
If you plan at all to do mods just start saving for the swap. I bought i/h/e and put them on my EX even though it was fun I would be much happier had I bought a b18 or b16 right now.
But best of luck on your
