Default i finally got a b-series, now i have some questions about the JDM b16

well first off, it's going into my 97 hatch. so that is obd2a. it is running an an EG coupe now. The motor has an obd1 dizzy so im assuming its an obd1 motor. but its running on a pr3 ecu and from what i searched, it's obd0? idk, can someone please clear that up. and also, once that is figured out, what is the easiest way to have it running considering my car is obd2a. i dont have to echeck so anything will work.

next question.. will the axels work out fine? and the passenger side axel is broken, so i just get a stock b16 axel? or is there a certain year i need?

please help!

i believe there is a obd 1 pr3 computer....the axles will work fine...just take his complete swap and by a ob2 to obd 1 conversion harness you'll be fine

but the engine harness is obd1. so i would need a conversion harness to plug that into my dash part of the harness, and than an other one to plug in from the dash harness to the obd1 ecu? im confused?

you wont want to use the engine harness because it will end up making things harder for yourself...just modify your existing wire harness....and use a conversion harness...is your car a hatch or a coupe? either way it'd be easier to use your existing and modify

There are two different obd2 to 1 conversion harnesses depending on what you have. The plugs should be fine and since you would go obd1 the dizzy should also be fine. Alternator as well and the only thing I can think of is maybe a problem with injectors but sounds like those should be straight as well. If you live in an emisssions state it might not be wise to downgrade obd's. Otherwise obd1 would offer better tuning abilities.

Someone else might cover something I haven't otherwise use the friendly red button top right corner. It carries the h-t power.

get the 96-98 ex wiring harness.. the civic that comes with the single cam vtec.. convert it to obd1 use obd1 injector clips on the harness and an obd2a to obd1 and use the obd1 dizzy and get the obd2a to obd1 ecu harness.. and use that complete swap...

if u have any questions or anything feel free to pm me

the pr3 is a obd0 ecu, that's all i really know about that.
as for the axles, any b-series axle will work.
