i don't find my obd2 diagnosis conector
hello,
i'am new here. sorry for my bad english, is my third language for me.
i have a '97 honda civic coupe USDM model. 3 day ago i get a OBD2 cable for diagnosis my car, i search in every posible place in my car and i don't find the OBD2 conector, instead i found a lot of free conectors, but no one have de OBD2 arhitecture
I search on the web and i read a post of somebody confrunted with the sameproblem, and he say: it's posible the car don't have OBD2 diagnosis conector aka DLC. this is possible.
thx in advice.

If it's a US model car then it will have it unless it was removed (doesn't seem likely, but it happens).
If it is indeed a US mode then the DLC (Data Link Connector / OBD2 connector) will be under the driver's side of the dash right above the release handle for the hood.
If it's a European spec car it will not have a DLC.

I know Japanese '96-'00 coupes were also all built in the US.
I don't know for sure where all the European models were built, but it's possible the European coupes were built in the US also.
This doesn't make them US models. This makes them European models that were built in another country. They were still built for use in Europe.
