I did a search but i did not really find the answers i wanted...
I am thinking about get a civic 92-95 either hatch or coupe, whatever i find when i decide to buy. I look at my money situation and its pretty much crap, so no matter what i do, its going to be slow and very economical. I currently drive a POS 90 Accord EX with an F22A4, so i know what a car with descent torque feels like.
My question is this if i decided to go with a B16A, after i install i/h/e and after i slowly saved up enough money to install CTR Cams what kind of hp and tq increase would i be looking at from the CTR cams? I want to keep that OEM reliablity because the car would be my daily driver. Thats why i am using the CTR cams as an example.
Down the line I would also want to produce more tq for when i am cruising up a hill with 2 additional people in the car, would CTR pistons help me at all in that area? I know i would have to probably get a VAFC and what not to properly tune the car, and probably get a new head gasket to lower compression, but i am not 100% sure about what i say, i am not a mechanic. Any help that could point me in the right direction would be so very much appreciated guys. Thanks in advance for any help you could give me.

all the mods you've mentioned are reliable and very good on a daily driven car...the hardest part of a project like that would have to be the tuning-VAFC or watever comp you get wont **** unless you take your car to get tuned on a dyno by someone who knows how to do it...my suggestion is to do more research on CTR cams and pistons, Head gaskets, compression and in the meantime ask around for a reliable and knowledgeble mechanic who has prefferably tuned the same application before...

But can anyone else give me some more info on the cams and the pistons and how much they will increase performance?
Thanks once again!

I don't know about the cams but unless you get boost I would stay away from the head gasket. You don't low compression on a all motor car. I'm pretty sure help. I think you want higher compression.

Just boost the accord. You don't need a civic, you said 93-95 those really arent that great but hey whatever boats your float. Yuo won't notice much difference at all in HP or TQ. I was reading up on it and a lot of people say just to boost or go B18 or B20 than the B16. Your 1/4 mile will still be in the 14's and you will have spent 400+ on the CTR cams. N/A is expensive and for a small budget like I have I would rather boost my civic.
Do I get two drinks now?
