a i did a engin swap on my 1998 civic and having problem need help
i did a swap on my 1998 civic i put a b16a2 in it and the dude that put it on said the computer and ecu wont fit is that true so we put an ecu and wiring harnes from a 1998 civic ex will that make it lose any ***** power

you need the proper ecu (or map)
you have a few options - Obtain one of the following:
1) an obd2A -> obd2B jumper harness to run a P2T ecu
2) a 96-97 del sol vtec ecu
3) A obd2A -> obd1 jumper and an obd1 P30 ecu
4) same as above, but a p28 ecu chipped to run a p30 map
Do not use an ex (p2p) ecu

ecu's are programmed to run a specific map for a specific engine - Most of the time, they are not compatible with things other than what they were originally intended for.
