Uh, thats cause its burning coolant. Did you properly torque the new one? Was it damaged in any way? Regardless, the one on there now isnt installed properly and will need to be repaired/replaced.

First step to torque is 22ft/lbs and the second step is 53 ft/lb for d16s and 47ft/lb for d15s. This all must be done in sequence..Starting with...
1) bottom center
2) Top center
3) next bolt left bottom
4) next bolt to the right of the center top
5) next bolt to the right bottom
6) next bolt to the left of the center top
7) last bolt to thr right bottom
8) last bolt to the left top
9) last bolt to the left bottom
10)last bolt to the right top

Hopefully you didnt warp the head either. Maybe you should get a manual, they all have all the torque specs, and the steps.

LOL, you over-torqued the head bolts?

At least your lucky and didnt strip/snap a bolt off.

make sure you clean the mating surfaces when you put it back togethor or you can get little particles stuck between the surfaces or gasket. happened to me one time it sucked. just wipe it off really good.
