yes it will bolt on but, you will have to pull a dohc motor. and you will have to wire a vtec wire to the ecu.

u will need another sohc vtec motor to keep your original tranny and axles
and any sohc motor from 92-95 will work

he said it's a non-vtec dohc so sohc won't work.

okay so if i pull a 92-95 dohc motor it will fit but the ecu wire now is that anything big to do ? never played with honda much before . And i dont nkow too much about the motors , so if i get a 95 vtech outta a civic it will bolt in with out changing everything . LOL sorry for the questions i feel like a real moron

First of all before you get flamed it's VTEC, not vtech. Second, 92-95 civics did not come with a dohc vtec motor only the 97 delsol si usdm. do a search on how to wire vtec it's not hard you will need a p28 ecu an chip it or just get the ecu from the car you pull the motor out of. all b- series trans. will bolt to a b- series motors. so it will be a drop in motor.

WRONG. The Del Sol had a B16 from 94-97. There is no such thing as a DOHC non-VTEC USDM B16. OP, check your engine, its most likely a D16Z6. Anything from any civic between 92-95 will bolt right up.

i'm sure he meant there was not a del sol that came with a non vtec DOHC motor not that there isn't a non vtec DOHC motor

Oh Jesus. Where do some of you people come from? *sigh*
iron_man: Your 93 Si (if it's an Si) has a SOHC VTEC motor 1.6 liter. This is the d16z6 engine. It was available in 92-95 Civic Ex but ANY single cam engine will work with your current transmission and axles. I would try to find another D16Z6 engine as you wouldn't have to worry about ANYTHING. It all fits up. All wiring is the same. Done deal. If you cannot find a D16Z6 motor, a D15B7 will do ... but be significanly slower (and you'd need the ECU for it too). If you want to upgrade, you can pull ANY B series engine - b16a/b, b18a/b/c, etc and put it in but you will need transmission, axles, ecu, wiring harness (unless you really have an Si del sol and you can use the D16Z6 wiring harness and run a wire for knock sensor ... or get it tuned out by a tuner).
Hope that clarifies it for you.
