i am stumped... anyone help with brakes
here is the thing. my brothers car rear driverside caliper keeps constant pressure on the pads. last time i was driving behind him, it was so bad it started to smoke.
we got home, and i jacked his car up, dont see any problems. so i figured it would be the piston seal in the caliper not returning the piston properly. i replaced the whole caliper, and its still grabbing like a son of a hoe... i am stumped. anyone got any ideas what to check next.?
thanks for the help

I am reaching here, but could it be a clogged line that is acting as a partial check valve--keeping enough pressure in the line to slightly deploy the brake?
I would say to check the master cylinder too.

its only the driverside rear that is acting up... i bled the brakes on that size only. the fluid is a bit dirty, so i'll bleed all 4 corners and see how it turns out.
could this be the prop valve?

yes bleed the brakes cold be air in the line and as you drive the air is heated and expands causing the pad to extend. but as stated above could be the e-brake cable.

Aren't you supposed to bleed all four everytime anyway? Starting from right-rear. If it's the e-brake cable, check to see if the left side returns.

like someone else said, it might be a bad brake line. Have someone pump the brakes up and hold them, then check for any buldges in the rubber line. I had one that buldged up and acked like a check valve before.
