Hydro and Cable clutch compatability
I just bought a si hatch, so im taking the b18c out of my crx and putting it n the si.
Now I dont want to use the cable tranny i have, so I am going to buy a hydro, but I love my clutch and want to reuse it. My question is can I use my clutch on a hydro tranny. I read in some old posts that the cable trannys have a diff. size input shaft but if thats true, how would it mate with my 0bd2 b18c.
thanks for any help

It depends on which cable transmission you're currently using. What vehicle did you source it from?

Because the transmission input shaft doesn't mate with the engine - it mates with the clutch friction disc. The friction disc is sandwiched in between the pressure plate and the flywheel, both of which are bolted to the engine.

Re: Hydro and Cable clutch compatability (Targa250R)
There are 2 different types of input shafts on cable b series trannys. the cable one in a 90-91 integra, or obd0, have a couple of teeth difference on the input shaft compared to the 92-93 integra, or obd1, cable trannys. I believe that the obd1 cable and hydro trannys have the same input shaft, but if not, just buy another clutch disc for the hydro tranny, and you can still use the pressure plate and flywheel that you allready have.
