Default HX wheels on EX

Hey I didn't see anything about this in the archives just wheels for sale, but any who do I need a spacer to put hx wheels on an ex? I just picked up a set and the guy said I may need spacers but wasn't for sure, and I have no clue.

Thanks
Justin

i think you will just need to grind off a little on your front calipers for them to fit over them. although ex's came with 14 inch steelies, so just put them on and turn them to see if you have any rubbing or clearence issues. i wouldnt think you need a spacer.

Yep. The people saying you need spacers or need to shave the calipers are right. They won't fit on an EX because of the larger calipers. Yes, the stock EX steelies are 14s, but the steelies are a +40 and the HXes are a +45.

thanks for all the info I saw what everyone was talking about when i had my car on the hoist today at work. I just grinded the caliper bracket down a little bit and they fit great. grinding the caliper is a lot cheaper than having to buy the spacers and the extended studs. I decided to grin them down because of what I read about spacers how they can wear out your wheel bearing and stuff. The caliper bracket is thick and shaving a little bit off of it really shouldn't do any harm to it.
