hx help
Alright first things first i have to intro you to my baby.
1988 Honda Civic Dx 4 door.
D16y5 1.6 Vtec-E 80,000 5spd.
Bought it for way to much. BUt came with lots of perks.
The guy who did the engine frankenstiened it behond belief. When i first bought it. the vtec didnt work. check engine light was on. Idle was off, and bogged out when gas pedle went to far. When i got the title he hooked up the vtec fixed the check engine light. The thing drives amazing. Amazing on gas. Boy is **** fast. almost 40mph on first gear. RED LINE i assume my vtec hits at 4500 rpms... i dont have a gauge.
Heres my problem.
I dont know what sensors are missing and what is what! the, all i know is my air flow sensor. is missing everything and is only connected to keep the light off. My car used to just turn off by itself under the even idle. but that might of been a defective fuel pump.
Computer is P28 - A52 the head says p2j7 some number on the side J7. and some stamp with the number 3310801. i think i have the z6 intake manifold. and the wiring harness is 88 i think..
the motor has 80,000miles from when i started counting when the guy told me it was 60,000miles.
i want to install a cluster with rpms. vtec controller. and i have add some missing pieces from my old busted a.c. I Dont know where to start. i love this car. ITS NICE great condition. its ready for paint just this engine is lagging me.

Re: hx help
That's a D16Y8 intake manifold.
Looks like the EGR valve isn't hooked up to the harness, and at least one hose is disconnected too (red one).
Also, I hate to say it, the engine looks crooked.
Can you take some close up pics of this area? Maybe even a couple different angles?
