Re: HX GUY (civicboy95)
Check out http://www.optauto.com it's called "lens spray" and comes in red or smoke. Take out tails, tape off the edges you don't want to paint and evenly apply, don't spray too much or else the colors won't match and you could get runs. For even better results take it to a body shop, where they coat it all red and place it in a oven looks good

Re: HX GUY (Halo)
I painted my old tailights all red before. I used testors transparent candy apple red spray paint. You can find it in model shops, or the model sections of some stores. I think Wal-Mart carries it. Anyway, just put a couple coats on with that and finish it off with clear coat. It turned out pretty well.

I wouldn't suggest painting your taillights at all. I painted mine and regretted it. Ended up buying all new taillights instead. I used the Tester's Candy Apple red and it looked alright...for like 6 months. Then it started to get dingy and the red started to look like crap. it just made the car look cheezy and very homemade. Maybe it was cause I didn't clearcoat my taillights but regardless, I wish I had never even tried.
If you are set on painting them, I just used plastic bags, newspaper and scotch tape to mask off the portions I didn't want paint on so i'm sure masking tape will be fine.

Re: HX GUY (HENRY)
icic, yea nobody has really told me how long these wil lasts. Like you said, maybe is due to the lack of clear coat. I think i'll only do this if i can get my hands on a set of stock taillights in the future. dont want to ruin my only pair. I'm rollin with red/clears right now. thanx guyz
