Default HX And EX Suspension Difference Question.

Hi. I am in need of quick responses if possible.

I was wondering what the differences between the 2000 HX and EX Front suspension was.

I have a 2000 EX. And I am in need of the front right, Upper control arm, Lower Control arm, and possibly the spindle or other parts from that area. I found the passenger side suspension from a HX

I have searched and see that the HX also came with the front sway bar like the EX. But i did notice that it has smaller brake discs and im also guessing different calipers.

Would anything else be different on the front suspension? Or are all the other parts interchangeable?

Thanks in advance.

Spindle/knuckle is different for sure. Upper and lower arms should be the same. go to bkhondaparts.com and check part number for both vehicles, if they match you're good to go.

Thanks Man...

And yes you were correct the lower control arm is the same..

But the Knuckle (I was referring to as upper control arm) is different..

I guess I might have to buy the parts new.. Fuuuuhhh....

Anybody got any suggestions or advice?

Everything but the knuckle/spindle is the same and will work just fine.

For the knuckle you'll need to find any 96-00 ex and 99-00 si. They are the same.

I belive integra's will work along with 92-95 ex, but I am not 100% sure.

They sorta work, they're different but they will bolt up and the EX calipers will bolt up to the knuckle. You will be badly in need of an alignment. The only thing i'm not sure of is if its the toe or camber that will be off, toe is easy to fix, but camber requires an aftermarket adjustable upper control arm (camber kit)

Ok Cool. Well yea. It seems like the only things i need are the lower control arm and the Knuckle.. So there is not point to buy the whole HX suspension used and only be able to use the control arm. When i could just get both parts new for a little bit more...

Im going to take it apart one of these days and see everything i need before I start buying parts.

Thanks for the help guys. If i need more help. ill refer back to this thread instead of making a new one..

Ok, thank you for posting that. I honestly havent heard anything about the camber or toe being off, but at least now I know, so I am not posting incorrect info.

Ill do some looking around tonight or tommorow and see what I can figure out.
