Does the HX have the cat built into the header like the 92-95 versions do? If it has the cat built into the header I will assume the mid-pipes arn't the same, but I'm not 100% sure.
If the cat is under the car like with the 92-95 ex's I would think it should fit.

No, it's different. HX still has the cat in the exhaust manifold, and the bolt pattern where the stock B-pipe matches up to the exit of the exhaust manifold is different from HX, DX and EX.
Part #'s are different as well.

That would be the axle-back. The exhaust has 3 main parts, the header, the mid-pipe, and the axle back. They're in that order on your car.

Piping diameter should be the same, but the midpipe length and all won't be. The HX has a longer pipe because it has to reach all the way to the cat, which is further up on the header than the EX, which places the cat under the car.

The picture you showed is a picture of the midpipe, or B-pipe. As I said before, a HX midpipe will not work because of the way it attaches at the header/cat. If you have an HX, you have to get another HX pipe, or you have to get the midpipe custom made from a muffler shop.
