hubs and studs
So I broke a hub stud on the front driver side hub and it has to be replaced. I found some good studs at O Reilly for nearly nothin. I'm havin trouble gettin my hub off to remove the broken stud. Is there something I should do before trying to remove the hub?
94 Honda Civic LX w/abs.
Here's what I did...
Removed wheel. yada yada yada.
skip ahead a bit.
Rotor is off, brake caliper supported well.
I removed the ABS Sensor for good measure.
Dust shield still in place.
Removed the center hub bolt (jesus that was hard)
Rented a hub puller from an auto shop to get the hub off.
Sat turning the damn thing for about 8 minutes.
The hub has come out a bit. I know this because the center hub bolt wont go back on there as flush as it was. As a matter of fact it wont go back on at all. Is there some kinda trick to getting the damn hub off that I dont know about?
