Does anyone know the stock HP quote on a 97 civic EX?

No.....127hp is at the flywheel...you guys got to learn...that 15-20 hp is loss from the transfer of power from the flywheel to the transmission then to the wheels and then the ground....

so only 100hp or even less...that's why when you go to the dyno you get less hp reading.....127hp is at the flywheel....

I'm sure he was asking what the engine is rated as.

127hp is what the engine is rated...

Actually has about 109 calculated using a 15% loss through the drivetrain.

I rather be a smartass than a dumbass.... true....true......

And calculating use percentage is BAD you will lose the same amount of HP even if your engine is make just 100hp or doesn't matter if your make 500HP...same amount of Hp is loss through the drivetrain....

In this world there are only 2 options....

option one: Dumbass

option two: Smartass

no more no less.......

It's either you know or you don't.....true...so true...
