i am getting the edelbrock turbo kit. It comes with an extra set of injectors along with the stock set. i was told i should upgrade to 450cc injectors and plug the second set. so i'm wondering how would i plug the injectors?

where would you go to get them?

If you tap with a metric tap, you can just get studs w/ allen recesses at a hardware store (notice, I didnt say home depot...)
If you go w/ a std/metric tap, I suggest you throw some rtv sealant on the threads

If you go with an ntp tap (which you may have to) you can get those plugs at similar locations OR online.
Theyre cheap.

suppose you want to use the secondary injector holes at some later point, if you tap some threads in there, they will be no good as you will never get a good seal around them.. so in that situation what would you do?

good question. does anybody know a way to plug them without making it to where i could still use them in the future. the reason i ask is i got this kit because it is legal but if i get sent to the bar for something i'll need to change it back.

have you looked into the turbonetics kit at all? i think that one is emissions friendly, and i would go with that kit before the edelbrock, or just leave the injectors in and unhook the fuel line.

Because home depot is not a hardware store....its a home store - a place to buy lumber, drywall, a box of screws, maybe carpet.
(And lowes is a place to buy rubbermaid tubs and light/bathroom fixtures)

A hardware store is where you go for hardware...hence the name.
Home depot does not carry a wide selection of bolts. They do not carry class 10.9, they do not carry flanged bolts, etc. If you find what you do need, you have to buy them in packs of 3 (wtf, why not 4?)...chances are you need an even number, right? A hardware store will sell you as much as you want, individually - either by the price of 1 or by weight

Home depot does carry plumbing supplies, copper tubing, etc, but they do not carry npt fittings, taps, bspt, etc. A hardware store will.

Learn the difference between the two and you will save yourself a lot of hassle.

You can also try using fat rubber stoppers. I dont know how well that will work, since they may pop out fairly easily. But perhaps you should give that a shot first.

I looked at that one but i haven't found any where that it is 50 state legal.

the only thing with that is i don't have the money to get my computer chiped and tuned and get a manifold.

only thing though is i couldn't use it in the future.

would there be anything wrong with using the stock injectors and ugrade the one new set of injectors that come with the kit?
