Default How would I go about fixing this hole?

How would I go about fixing this hole?

Pic it from rear passeger lower suspension
Do you see how the bolt draged itself along from the orginal hole? funny what happens huh.... i never even knew this was there until i looked under to figure out how I was gonna put on the lower tie bar. if the bolt had given way the whole passenger left side suspension would of gave way. and well would have created some pretty serious problems for me......you get the picture....just wanted to show this..... and just say checking up on any car is a must

but back to the orginal question...How would I go about fixing this hole?

best way I can think of is going by my boy's shop and gettin him to weld in some stell in place of the hole.....but any other input is greatly appreciated...

I'd remove the bolt, weld on a metal plate and drill a new hole.

Yeah just make sure you do a good job welding that, or it'll just tear.

BTW: how did you do that anyways?

the bolt must must have come undone and lossened itself.....must have applied presure on the hole overtime caseinge it to drag open.. i did'nt even know it was messed up till I happened to look under the car...thank god I found it.

thats what i would do if i was on a budget....
but it could change the structural rigidity of the subframe.
if money wasnt a problem, a new subframe, stronger one like a CTR one would be cool

i would go the junkyard look for that part and have them cut it out. bring that part to a shop and have them welded in place of that.

JB weld can not support the weight of a 2100 lb. car forever. That is dangerous as ****, I would not drive that car for one second.

Yeah I would take off that sway bar too, it's not worth getting your suspension ripped to pieces.

Yeah I think if you use a plate on the rear it should fix the problem.

darwin will own you soon.

I have seen a few pics floating around here of complete plates welded across the subframe end to end. I'd have some one fab up something like that.
