How-To: Wire Spoon Powered Mirrors on a 96-00 Civic
I got my set of powered spoon mirrors in on Friday and installed them Saturday. Mine came with a clip to plug into the mirrors and then it had 4 wires: Black, White, Blue and Brown, like you see here:
The wiring for these is actually very simple, I had them wired up correctly the first time through. You will not need to use the brown wire at all. When you remove your stock mirrors, you'll notice that you have three wires going to your OEM power mirrors. The color of the wires DO NOT matter but what does is the strip that is going down the wire. All you have to do is splice into the stock harness, according to the strip that the wires have...sorta..
This will explain it all:
Driver Side:
Passenger Side:
Simple as that. Once you have them wired in, test them to see if they work.
I highly recommend getting the powered versions because I have no visibility issues whatsoever, I can see perfectly fine out of them, just as if they came on the car STOCK. I like them a whole lot better than stock. I didn't have to do any extra drilling or anything like that. I'll try to get some pics today and post them up. The only extra thing I had to get was some Hardware to attach them to the car. I used some 12mm X 1'' screws and some washers. They are nice and secure. If you have any questions, feel free to send a PM...!

No, my car is painted EBP by myself. I just color matched the mirrors myself as well.
I paid $35 shipped for them. I'll try to get a pic for ya today..!

Holy ****. This is what I have been needing. I don't have power mirrors currently. I just have these ebay mirrors and an OEM power mirror switch. So I have to try and figure out what wires go where. I have a feeling this will help me tremendously. Awesome. Thanks for this thread
p.s. you might want to change the thread title to "spoon" because when people search they don't type "spoooon"

Instead of using screws like a ricer remove the threaded studs from the OEM mirrors and install them into the Spoon mirrors. This is what the makers intended. I know your minds are blown...its ok...I'm here for you -_-
edit: Also the fuse for this is the "RR DEF Relay" and it is a 7.5 amp fuse on the interior fuse box. Location is middle row 5 in from left side.
