Are you sure you really want to do a wire tuck? To really make the engine bay look clean, to get that "floating" engine look you will need to do ALOT more than just a wire tuck. IMO its more work than its worth unless you plan on showing it. If you really want to do it make sure you are confident in your electrical abilities and get plenty of wire and solder. Its just how it sounds. Gotta extend your connections.

x2. a wire tuck takes all practicality out of a car and makes it harder to work on down the road. if its a weekend car and mainly for show then its an alright idea... for a DD i would keep them out. Just make sure its all loomed up nicely and tightly tied up.

Tuck all the wires under your interior trim.

Hmm.. I'll have to disagree. I did a wire tuck on my CRX and it opened up the engine bay big time. It was much easier to run IC pipes and put custom components in places they otherwise would never be able to fit.

For a DD it might be a bit overboard however as far as making the car hard to work on - I completely disagree. Once it's done, and done right the wiring is out-of-the-way forever.

if you just do a straigt up "wire tuck" meaning hiding the WIRES then yea thats not to hard to do and i did it on my last hatch it makes a hell of alot more room and it looks a little nicer but if your going for a "full tuck" ware you shave all the welds and cover up all the holes and hide all the break lines n everything then thats gonna be a little harder to work on when you have a problem with that componet cause then youll have to go under the dash n you gotta be carful not to spill the brake fluid on the carpet cause youll never get it out.. doing a basic wire tuck looks clean and its not to hard just get all the wires in one big "ball" if you will and run em through the fire wall someware below.. i had the heat out of my eg and i ran it through the coolant line hole for the heater core.. looked nice and it was easy
