how are the top of the cylinders supposed to look?

Default how are the top of the cylinders supposed to look?

i pulled the spark plugs and when i looked inside the top of the cylinders are very grimy like built up oil. motor has almost 2k on it. is it supposed to look like that?

yeah that's all the carbon build up, when the gas and air combust, it leaves carbon residue, and if you run that shitty *** arco gas it will do the same, all you need to do is run shell v power, and some gas treatment in your gas tank and that **** will clean it up and make your car run better, also if you use cheap *** oil, will do it too I only run mobile 1 oil it's race prov en, and it's what the use in formula one racing. it's the best

im just running castrol 5w-30 is that cool? so this the carbon residue on the piston is normal? what kind of gas treatment would i use?

Should be carbon build-up. Get some SeaFoam and run it in the cylinders as the directions say. Should clean a bit off of them.

okay so this isnt something i should be too worried about, im still burnin a lil bit of oil but not alot too really notice, is this all normal of a new engine?

i dont know if mines looks like that, it looks shiny and wet looking, maybe because the motor is still all intact, i just looked through the spark plug hole, bump for anything other ideas
