How are these A/C test results?
I recently got ahold of a set of manifold gauges and ran the A/C test. The delivery temperature and low side pressure seem within spec, according to the service manual, but the high side pressure seems a tad high. What do you guys think?
Test conditions
---------------
Ambient Temperature: 73F/22C
Ambient Humidity: 80%
Idle @ 1500 RPM for 10 minutes
Test Results
------------
Delivery (High Side) Pressure: 230-240 PSI
Intake (Low Side) Pressure: 23-25 PSI
Delivery Temperature: 41F/5C
Resting Pressure (with car off for about an hour): 80 PSI

Yea, the condenser fan was on (and blowing the right direction lol) when these numbers were pulled. The system also seems to cycle normally, aside from an unrelated idle problem I'm trying to reign in (the compressor will disengage briefly upon throttle down, because the idle drops below 500 RPM). There's only about 19oz of R134a in the system right now, so if anything, it's slightly undercharged. I'm thinking about doing an evac and flushing out the condenser. It seems like the compressor is pushing too hard, so there might possibly be a bit a restriction in the condenser somewhere.
