How to tell if HeaD is Bad.. When Off Block
Whats best way, this guy is getting rid of a z6 head for pretty cheap, and my plan is to swoop it up, but honestly i dont want something that i need to rebuild. its just for my dd but it needs new valve steam seals and cx head = shitty already so any ideas??

you can check if it's warped by taking a long metal ruler and put it corner to corner on the bottom and make sure it's all flat. but internally just

bump, but what bout like the valves and such, how do i tell if there bad?? or the seals?? the valve cover is taken off...

Visually inspect it for corrosion,cracks etc then try putting a long straight edge across it to check for warps as cherroneballs said.
Unless I misunderstood you said it already needs valve stem seals so when you pull it down to replace them you can remove the valves,clean them lap them and replace the seals.

nah my dd car needs valve seals.
