Ive seen a diagram of a DC2 showing where every spot weld is that holds the subframe on. Im sure one for an EG would be very helpful to a lot of people, myself included...any volunteers?

p.s when u drill out the welds if you dont have a welder just use bolts to put the new one in. theres alot more drillin but its hella cheap

Glad someone's doing this. I have a bent support in my car and the hood won't latch the whole way. It's like $90 on ebay for a new support. I was wondering how to do it. I can't wait to see the picks so I can do this to mine. When you put the bolts in...is it as safe as welding it? I have to get my car inspected so I don't want to do it and it won't pass inspection.

First of all, why are you doing this? Second how come you can't see the spot welds? is it rust? You can wire brush with a wire wheel atached to the drill around the mount and they should be visible then. I had to relocate both mounts for my k swap and it was very easy thing to do. I have no pics though

bump! for the same problem.
:edit: previous owner slammed the hood leaving the outward facing dents on my hood

Re: (b20vtech)
I just counted eighteen spot welds on each frame rail two right behind the headlights and two right near the corner lights for each side. I just started with a 3/16 drill bit and stepped up in 32nd's till I had all the weld drilled out.
My rad support came right off no problems.
