how to take off doors and windshield
anyone ever take off their doors or windshield? how many bolts are there for the door? i saw two for the hinge, and then the punch...does it just come off after that? how about the windshield? is it possible to get it out without suction cups?
thanks, any advice/tips would be appreciated.

the doors have about four bolts(two for each hinge) and then the pin. knock out the pin from the bottom up. i think the winshield is glued on, but have never looked at it.

call a glass installer man . . . i've been a honda tech for three years, and we don't replace/remove windshields, we just leave it to the pros

You should knock out the pins instead of taking off the bolts. if you just remove the pins, you don't have to realign the doors. There are 3 pins total: 2 for the hinges and one for the detent linkage. The hinge ones have a C-clip holding them on. The other one can be hammered right out. Remove the detent one first but be careful not to open the door too far, you can damage the door skin, fender, or hinges. Also, it would be good to have someone help you because the door is very heavy and bulky. If your door has frames, it is good to roll the window down so that you can put it over your shoulder. But 2 people is highly recommended. you might want to support the door with a jack or something while you remove the pins cause they will bind with the weight of the door acting on them.
