How to take front disk sheilds OFF!
Well what I thought was a bad bearing was the rusted and bent dust sheild rubbing agains the disk under hard turns. I have beent them back as much as posible but still rub some times. I can't see where they are bolted on to remove them. Is there any negatives to removing them??

those are dust shields so they keep dirt and water etc from getting on the rotor......i not recommending removing them but if you want to or to replace them you have to have the hub/bearing pulled to access the screws.....and your gonna want to use a impact driver on the screws or youll just strip them

there are 3 philips head screws holding them onto the knuckle, but if I remember right they're a bit tough to get to. if they're all bent to hell then replacing them might help, but I wouldn't just remove them.

people have gotten metal snippers in the past and just cut the sheilds off. try that if you dont want to pull the hub.

Might do that they are pretty rusty! I might be able to pull them off with gloves on.
