yeah i did a search...

simple question: how can i make the rattling sound stop while driving with a stiff ride?

i already stripped the interior once, and used some isolating soft rubber material (i don't know its name) but it brought nothing...

what do u guys use? or did u all throw your side panels out?

well it could be a few different things causing it. It cood be a piece of the wireharness vibrating against the side of the panel. It could be one of the light grey pop-in clips thats rattling. A loose bolt with a washer rattling. Or a metal clamp rattling on the panel or the body. First you need to determine where the rattle is coming from and then check for one of these issues. Its usually going to be a harness or one of those grey clips though.

so, when i discovered where the noise is comin from, what du u suggest to isolate?

well lets say you hear it coming from the rear drivers side panel. youre going to need to take the panel out first off. then check all those grey clips by lightly pulling or wiggling each one. If they feel loose then what you can do is slide the clip off the panel, then get some masking tape and slap a little piece of tape on the panel where the clip goes and then cut out the area where the clip slides in, then slide the clip back in. This will take up a tiny bit of space between the panel and the lip on the clip. should take care of it.

If it happens to be the harness then you can just go get some foam tape and wrap the harness wires with it. problem solved.
