How to stop Bouncing like crazy...
At first my car would hit a bump and would bounce for a 1/4 mile... Found out All four of my stock shocks were shot... So I swoped um out with some tokico blues..... But now I'm just bouncing around like crazy for a "shorter" period of time at a more rapid rate..... Is there a kit I can get to stiffen my suspension for a smoother ride? I mean I'm sure there are kits like that... But what brands should I be looking for and prices would I be looking at

Re: How to stop Bouncing like crazy...
you can start by raising your car up, that would help out alot.. give the shocks more room to absorb the bumps - i have a set of KYB AGX 4 way adjustables with skunk2 coilovers on them - with 4 way adjustability you can set them to how stiff or soft you want your car to feel
heres a set for 92-95 civics - $510
http://www.importperformance.com/store/agx-164025
heres some skunk 2 coil prices

What is your spring rate?
If you have cut springs then that is your problem,
If you have them ebay springs then that is your problem,
If your have your car slammed like to the floor then that is your problem,
If your on a budget and want to keep the tokico blues then go with some Tien SS springs or some Eibach. These will be very cost efficient to keep the car running smooth.
If you just want to get a good set-up then just go with some full coil overs like the Blox street edition.

tsudo who what? That is your problem there sir. That is the reason why your car is so bouncy.
The spring rate on those eBay/no name items are too stiff as you can tell from the size of the coils.
If you want to keep coil-overs get some SK2 or the GC ones. For smooth street ride it should be 6k front and 8k rear

i beg to differ on some ebay springs...
i got just ebay coilovers on my stock shocks, and my car rides so smooth barely any bounce and when i go over a hole on the road by accident, i can barely feel it

Your smooth may not be our smooth however with that said you can get lucky with those no name springs/coilovers.
It's the size of the coils and the material that it's made from that tells the story of how it will perform.
If the coils look like the size of your thumb then you car will bounce with stock shocks.

i guess ur the one in the million that lower their car with stock shock without having it blown after 2 years...unless where u live the pavement is smooth as hell. seattle road suck so even if u have good suspension still feel the bump...

TTHOJ
GC is good stuff...your ride is bouncy because ur shocks are blown. it was smooth on stock spring because ur stock shock suppose to handle the height. once you lower ur car u must use aftermarket shocks that can handle the drop. the lower the higher quality shocks you need.

GC are not ebay springs. they are great coilover when use with good quality shocks. ebay springs are the one without BRAND name on them.

Re: How to stop Bouncing like crazy...
You need some decent shocks. Tokico Blues are meant to be OEM replacement shocks, they're just as crappy as stock shocks when you're lowered more than a couple inches.

Re: How to stop Bouncing like crazy...
One other item that I am sure everyone overlooked are the tires that the car is riding on.
If your tires have a stiff side wall then the ride will be a bit harder
If your tires have soft side wall then that could also contribute to the bounce especially in conjunction to stiff spring rates and blown shocks.
think about a Hydraulic car and you will get the idea.
I myself ride on 35 series tires and I don't think my car is stiff or bouncy with 8k springs in the front and 10k in the rear full coil overs.
Oh and just because the items are sold on eBay does not mean it's crap, in general when people say ebay stuff....everyone are referring to stuff with no name like tsudo, drop zone, & etc.
