Default how should i break new motor in

just pulled motor top to bottom, skunk 2 turbo 1 cams .skunk2 titanium valves.springs and retainers, je 9:1 comression pistions eagle h rods. i was told to not beat on my car for about 3000 miles then i was told by some turbo guys your supposed to break them in how your planning on driving them i thought they were joking but i heard that from alot of people now. any opinions

My vitaras said to break it in for 1000 miles, i havnt heard much on others breaking them in. But i dont know why you would do it like how you plan to drive it. Isnt the point of breaking it in not to beat on it. My vitaras also said, not to go over 2/3 of your redline, hold steady speeds, avoid revving and downshifting. I've heard of people spinning bearing a lot when they "break em in hard", so i wouldnt drive it like you stole it during break-in. Im still breaking mine in as we speak as well.
