Yes, I did everything myself. That's about 2 thick coats of paint.

I have always wanted to do that to my valve cover, but I also wanted to add/weld a couple chunks of metal so I could carve "**** YOU" in to the top where it says DOHC VTEC and where the honda emblem is have a middle finger. I wanted to do the same where it says B16.
some one make one like this and I'll buy.

AS far as i know there is only red, black and grey. And they are avilable thru http://www.pjhbrands.com/vht/wrinklefinish.htm

pictures no workie,
I did mine with an angle grinder to get the letters off, then a DA to sand the top surface totally smooth.
