Default How to set timing?

I searched but the only thing I could figure out is that there is a jumper under the passenger side kick panel. I have a 93' civic dx sedan and am looking to set the timing. I can hear the car detonate under hard acceleration.

I cannot find a jumper, I have the glove box out and the kick panel off. This is for a 93' civic sedan with a d15b7, Thanks

It should be there. Perhaps the photos in this thread might help?
