Re: How to Seafoam civic?...
The only way that I know how to do it is to put a third of it intoyou gas tank, a third through the vaccum hose connected to the brake booster. Than put the last bit in to the crank case. Wait about 5-10 minutes, than start the car. Try and hold it at about 2500rpms untill all the smoke is gone. After about say a day or two of driving, change your oil and spark plugs.

Re: How to Seafoam civic?...
If you put it through the gas tank, it`s supposed to clean the injectors. In the crankcase, gets rid of some the crap that has built up over time. And in the vaccum line, it cleans out the carbon built up within the combustion chamber.
If you put seafoam into the crankcase, it is highly recommend that you change your plugs and oil after about a day or two of driving. If you don`t, you may foul your plugs.

Doing this, plus the regular tune-up stuff will def make the car run better.I will say this. My EJ1 has over 300K on the orignal D16Z6; after I ran the seafoam, she ran like a charm.

If you put it into the crankcase oil don't wait a week to change the oil out. Your oils viscosity will be like ink. You will blow your engine or at the least cause some damage to it.
Are there not instructions on the can?

I was thinking the same, MAYBE 1 day of driving if you're desperate. I would change it within an hour of adding it. I'm not sold on adding it to the oil directly, doesn't seem to make any sense. I can see adding it to the gas tank and the brake booster but that's about it. Any residue or goop in your intake tract will return within a very short time if you have the valvecover vent hose hooked up anyways.

I've heard that it takes TWO complete oil changes to get all the Seafoam solvents out of the engine. Makes sense to me. But really, this is a dead topic.
