Default How to safely remove front emblem?

When i had my CF hood put on the guy at the bodyshop went ahead and put on my red H emblem on the hood and it is way off centered.

Its been a few months and i was thinking of taking it out.

Is there a safe way to remove it?
Will the coating on the CF hood come off or leave a mark?

Just go back to the place that did it. Tell them to fix their mistake. and if they expletive your CF hood up, make them buy you another !

Eh, you can do that, but if you are civilized, you might wanna be a little more polite. Or, what you can do is to slowly remove it, and since there should be residues left, you can use goo-gone to remove that. It shouldnt remove the clearcoat on your hood, unless its really cheaply made. Good luck!

I rather not bring it back because of various reasons.

Also cant buy goo gone in Malaysia.

Would i need to heat it up before removing or just pluck it out?

Heating it up will soften the adhesive that's holding it on and might make it a tad easier to remove. And less likely to damage anything.

Regardless, it's your money. You paid them, they better damn well do it right. Don't be afraid to face someone. Just do it man, save you a lot more time and trouble
