Default How to reset ECU?

do u gus know how to reset ECU in my car??
and is it necessary after adding new parts in the car, for example upgraded air filter..

u should lift up ur hood and look for the fuse box. take the ECU fuse out. and put it bak in and leave ur engine on for 10-15 mins so it can relearn everything.

u should lift up ur hood and look for the fuse box. take the ECU fuse out. and put it bak in and leave ur engine on for 10-15 mins so it can relearn everything.
Exactly what he said only add one more detail.....don't touch the gas just let the thing idle for the ten minutes. Oh fine two details......the fuse is 7.5 amps and make sure you have all your radio stations because you will loose them and anything else that is supposed to keep track of something while the car is off (clock)

So I remember a few details sue me.

couldn't you also just un hook the battery fo ra bit and then hook it back up... It's a chap solution but doesn't it work as well?

as u guys know the idel is higher when the car is cold

The easiest thing to do is to remove the HAZARD fuse from the underhood fuse box for about 1 minute then reinstall the fuse and start your car, let it idle for about 5 minutes then take it for a quick drive and shut it off. You wont have to reset your radio stations or anything.
