Default SMOG ISSUES

Hey guys what sup, got a problem here. My car is a 1992 cx, it has 229k miles. My car has failed smog 4 times although I was only charged twice. I got approved for the CAP program which the states help up to $500 in repair. My car is in the shop for the 3rd day today. The technician asked me if I had done anything to the head. I told him I had the head gasket re-done 2 years ago. Does a blown head gasket has anything to do with smog? Also I replaced the original tranny with jdm ones, I did not tell him about that one. I'am real nervous and anxious to hear what he has to say. I really need my car back by today.

Welp, guess i get to keep my car for now. I'm good for another 2 years. My car passed the smog! My last smog tech was right, he said the o2 could be defective. I didn't feel like running around and playing the guessing game. I went and applied for the CAP program. The state gave me a list of Gold Shield approved stations. There were like over 50 stations. I had break it down to 4, but can only pick 1. After 3 days of diagnosing my car, it turned out to be the freaking o2 sensor! He charged the state almost $400!?? Now did he really have to adjust the valves? My car was running fine when it came in the shop. When i got it today, man was it a messed. There were greased everywhere, on the floor mats, edge of the door, scratches on the door jam, the fuse cover was out on the floor, oil leaking from the valve cover all the way down to the bottom of the engine. I think i chose the wrong shop. These shop mainly worked on older domestics. A very dark place to work on cars. The owner wasn't that helpful. I just can't wait to wash my car tomorrow. I'm just thankful that i passed the smog.
