ok, I searched, and found lots of info, but it makes no sense

I found the 3 screws and unclipped all the clips, but the door handle is in the way. so then I searched again, and I read something about a pin hold somewhere, but have no idea where it is.

please help me get my door pane off, it looks like this now

theres a clip behind the window handle... its like a U sorta, but more closed... you can use a thin flathead screwdriver or needle nose pliers. try not to lose it either hehe. good luck.

There is a wire clip that holds the window crank on. I made a sort of hook out of a wire hanger to remove mine. You can see it if you look closely.

yea....take the clip that is hold the window crank off. you can use a thin screwdriver and push it off. also, some people say you can use a comb

Easiest way to remove a window crank is to work a towel in behind the crank and move the towel back and forth. Works every time in about 2-3 seconds. Learned it from a dude at a junkyard

I really can't see the clip. is it in between the door and door panel or is it where the crank is on the outside ?

and if it's inside, the only place I can think of has a big foam piece surrounding the inside part of the crank, and the panel is too tight and I can't really see anything

put the door panel back on and the push on the door panel a lil so you can see between the door crank and panel. turn the crank until you can see the ends of the clip. its sorta like a "U" shape. turn it until you see the top of the "U" shape then try to pry it off.

I found a ring, but it seems to be rubber.

Just slide a thin towel between the crank and the panel. Move the towel around the crank and it will very quickly catch on the pin holding the crank. Pin should pop off. You may want to pop the panel back in place so it isn't putting pressure on the pin.

You have the right idea about placing a flathead screwdriver behind the window crank. The "U" shaped pin that everyone is talking about is behind that thin plastic thing between the door panel and the crank itself.

What you wanna do is take the screwdriver and wedge it between the plastic thing and turn the window crank up or down, eventually one side of the "U" pin will catch the screw driver and will pop out.

Usually the bottom of the "U" pin will show and after that you can just pull it off the handle. Once you get this, it'll be easier on the other door. Good luck!

haha that clip is a pain in the *** if you've never seen it before,

basically, try and look under that handle the best you can, if you see ANYTHING METAL , that is part of your clip!
its the only metal piece in there.

you just got findi t, get a good grip on it, and yank it out.

Slide the panel back up to it's original position. Take a pair of angled forceps (a medical supply) and push them out. That is by far the easist thing I've ever used.

I just re-did this after not doing it for quite some time.


One, place the panel as close to the original position as possible. Turn the window crank so the handle is facing you, make sure you have good light to be able to see the metal clip. Now there are going to be two metal edges popping up. Place a flathead screwdriver on the one to right so that when the clip flies off it has a better chance of landing in the car. Push the flathead screwdriver down and away from the center of the window crank. Once the clip flies off place it in the driver seat and pull the door lever as if trying to open the door and remove the screw from behind the handle. From the picture you listed, everything should be accessible to pull the door panel up and around the handle to get it off the door.

you just have to push thedoor panel in farther to reveal the clip. it should be a bronze color and be somewhat shaped like a letter "u". It should be fairly obvious...

What i found easy is to take one flathead screwdriver, and try to find the end of the metal U-clip. When you find it place the one screwdriver on it and get another flathead and find the other clip, then just push on both. It may fly off, or just push off enough until you can grab it.

i just used 2 flat blade screw drivers to pop the clip off... its really easy after uve done it once

see the mechanics of the pin actually on the backside of the handle?

when you get it out, remember how you put the clip in so next time you know which side of the handle the open end is on
